A Port Macquarie man has fronted Port Macquarie Local Court charged with a string of drug-related matters.

Joshua Newberry, 25, of Emerald Drive appeared before Magistrate Georgina Darcy on October 15, 2020.
Newberry has pleaded guilty to, possession of a ice pipe on September 7, 2020; three counts of driving with illicit drugs present in blood on November 29, 2019, June 5, 2020 and January 26, 2020 and three counts possession of a prohibited drug on May 24, 2020, on June 5, 2020 and April 16, 2002.
Police facts tendered to court indicate that Newberry was stopped by police at Thrumster on September 7, 2020.
"Due to the fact the accused appeared nervous, police located a plastic resealable bag in the vehicle with residue which appeared to be methylamphetamine," the police facts indicated.
"The accused admitted to police he had an ice pipe down his pants in his underwear."
Newberry pleaded guilty to being in possession of 7.7 grams of gamma butyrolactone at Port Macquarie on May 24, 2020, and being in possession of ketamine at Piggabeen, in northern NSW, on April 16, 2020.
He has pleaded not guilty to, supplying a prohibited drug at Lake Innes on June 5, 2020 - 55 grams of methamphetamine and goods suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained - $800 on June 5, 2020.
Newberry is yet to enter pleas on the charges of, not stopping when directed by police; a police pursuit, driving recklessly and possession of a prohibited drug. These charges relate to alleged incidents on June 5, 2020.
Magistrate Darcy adjourned the matter against Newberry to the Port Macquarie Local Court for sentencing on November 11.
