Cr Pinson has put the Houston Mitchell Drive/Pacific Highway intersection safety issue on the Wednesday, September 23 Port Macquarie-Hastings Council meeting agenda.
Another accident on September 11 prompted renewed community calls for action to improve safety at the intersection, which is a state government responsibility.
In a report to the September council meeting, Cr Pinson outlined the safety concerns at the intersection.
A recommendation proposes the council request the acting general manager write to Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams to seek urgent representation to Minister for Roads and Transport Andrew Constance for road safety upgrades to the intersection.

Bonny Hills resident Peter Rodgers has raised his concerns about the intersection and speed limits with Mrs Williams.
Mrs Williams said she continued to work closely with Transport for NSW to investigate a range of safety improvements to the intersection.
"As recently as last month, I met with the regional manager of Transport for NSW and highlighted the urgent need for a review of this busy intersection," she said.
Meanwhile, a report on Kenwood Drive Bridge at Lake Cathie and a review of the 2011 hydrodynamic report findings will go before the council meeting.
It comes after the council requested concept designs be developed for Kenwood Drive Bridge, and a subsequent report in July 2020 which recommended any works be incorporated in the Coastal Management Program.
A report to the July council meeting asked for a further report to the September meeting outlining the process and costs involved in reviewing the 2011 hydrodynamic report findings and developing a program for the bridge replacement or augmentation.

The report to the September meeting said the original 2011 hydrodynamic report author, BMT Commercial, confirmed a review into the findings was valuable to undertake.
It is working on providing a process to assist the council in understanding how the 2011 work should be updated but also provide detailed costs and time frames around potential delivery of the work.
This information could then be used to produce a scope of works for a potential tender whereby the actual work to update the 2011 hydrodynamic model would then be undertaken, the report said.
The council report said effectively, this would be stage three in the process of determining the Kenwood Drive Bridge works.
The September 23 council meeting will be streamed on YouTube from 5.30pm.
