POLICE divers will be called in today (September 22) to assist in the search for a missing Port Macquarie man.
Day four of the land and sea search will continue for a man believed missing off Lighthouse Beach.
About 7.45am on Saturday, emergency services responded to reports 56-year-old man, Mark James, had gone missing at that location.
Mr James is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 165 and 175cm tall, of thin build, with a fair complexion, bald head, and brown eyes.
Officers from the Mid North Coast Police District commenced a search which has been ongoing.
The search, assisted by PolAir, Surf Lifesaving NSW, Marine Rescue and the State Emergency Service, was suspended just before 5pm Monday.
Marine Rescue vessel PM30 swept the waters between Port Macquarie and Lake Cathie.
The land search has covered an extensive area of bushland and coastline between Watonga Rocks and Shelly Beach.
