The search of the coastline and water off Lighthouse Beach will be suspended at 4pm today (Monday), a NSW Police spokesperson confirmed.
Efforts to locate Mr James, whose car was found by family at Tacking Point lighthouse on Saturday morning, have included crews from the State Emergency Services, Surf Life Saving NSW and the NSW Water Police.
Mr James was last seen at his home in the Settlement Point area at 7pm on Friday night (September 18).
His vehicle, a red Toyota RAV 4, was located by family at 7am Saturday.
He has not been seen since and there are now grave concerns for his welfare.
The search has covered an extensive area of bushland and coastline between Watonga Rocks and Shelly Beach.
Anyone with information should contact police on 6583 0199.
