The year 6 leadership students at St Agnes' Primary School in Port Macquarie have shown an extraordinary amount of selflessness and kindness - all to put smiles on the faces of kids in Melbourne.
The students have all read their favourite story on video and shared messages of hope and friendship for preschool and kindergarten children in lockdown.
Their video book readings will be sent to Our Lady of Lourdes, St Joseph's, St Mark's and St Jude's schools this week.
For school captain Angus Ismay, their project was a small gesture that will bring some fun after a tough time under COVID restrictions.
Sam Duff said the students attached a recording device to the book to capture the imagery on the pages as the students read the story.
The students also shared a stay safe message and even added their favourite funny joke.
"It felt good to do something nice for other people," Lucy Ryan said.
"It's good to support people when they have had to be under restrictions and spend time in lockdown," Jack Duff added.
Assistant principal Kate de Bressac said the teachers have thanked the students for their efforts saying the story telling has been a welcome addition to their online and digital learning which has been met with many challenges.
