Suncorp will maintain a presence in Port Macquarie through its mobile lenders and business bankers.
"Customers are changing the way they bank with us and no longer visiting bank branches as they once did," a Suncorp spokesperson told customers.
"Many value the convenience of our digital banking experience and contact centres. Our decision to close the Port Macquarie store will ensure we can continue to provide banking services where and when our customers need us."
Customers will be encouraged to use the bank's online services however it has partnered with Australia Post for face-to-face services to withdraw and deposit funds through Bank@Post.
The local branch of APIA will remain.
ATM services will continue through RediATM or through ATMs managed by the four major banks.
