The event acknowledges the efforts and service of Australian soldiers in the Afghanistan war - and the Middle East.
Sub-Branch president Greg Laird OAM said it was important to continue to host services despite the COVID-19 restrictions.
"This Friday's event will be pretty much a low key affair," Mr Laird said.
"It is unfortunate, under the current protocols, that we are not allowed to have many people gathering at these events.
"However, we have to continue to pay our respects where appropriate.
"We expect a very small gathering at the war memorial at 11am on Friday."

There will also be a wreath laying service, playing of The Last Post, Ode, Reveille and singing of the national anthem.
Mr Laird said those attending will observe social distancing rules and other health protocols.
He expects to see returned soldiers from the Afghanistan war represented at the service on the day.
"We have Vietnam Veterans Day, we have Remembrance Day and it's important for these young men and women to have their service in the limelight," he said.
Mr Laird said while the ceremony was only relatively new on the sub-Branch's calendar, it was continuing to attract increasing attendance.
"This ceremony only started a handful of years ago, but it is building.
"The first year I think we had just under 20 people however, we have seen up to 70 people in 2019."
The sub-Branch president said a wreath laying would form part of the ceremony.
