Members of the club and hospital were part of a working bee to help clean up the area at Moripo near Wauchope on Wednesday, September 2.
Additional feeding trees will be planted on the land in the future.
The Koala Hospital also has an established food tree plantation on Maria River Road.
Mr Castle said trees were planted at Moripo about a year ago and they are all thriving.
However it will be a few more years before the leaves off the trees will be able to feed the koalas.
"This is a long term project for us to care for koalas," Mr Castle said.
There are potential plans for the Koala Hospital to establish future food tree plantations.
Mr Castle said reforesting land, which was previously farmland, is a long and costly process.
Forest land, which is already known to host koala populations could also be secured.
"You're protecting biodiversity," Mr Castle said.
Tacking Point Lions Club and the Koala Hospital are continuing to work side by side for the betterment of the koala species.
"We've formed a strategic partnership to help each other achieve a common goal," Tacking Point Lions Club vice president Janice McGilchrist said.
Three juvenile koalas were released back into the wild and the event was witnessed by hospital staff and club members on Monday, August 31.
Mr Castle said the koalas were orphans and found in town.
They were released at the Lake Innes nature reserve after participating in the hospital's release program.
"We observe their behaviours and make sure they will be able to fend for themselves once they're out," Mr Castle said.
Mrs McGilchrist said it's a real treat for members to be part of the release event.
"It's a great reminder of what we're all working towards," she said.
"It's a rewarding experience to see them in the environment they are meant to be in."
