Officers from the Crime Prevention Unit, Proactive Crime Team, Laurieton Police and Traffic Services attended the Laurieton and Lakewood sessions on Tuesday, August 18.
Kim Pearce has lived in Laurieton for about 26 years and said it was great to have the opportunity to interact with officers face to face.
Unfortunately Ms Pearce experienced domestic violence within her first marriage and thanks to the help of police she was able to leave the relationship.
Ms Pearce said unfortunately she didn't have anywhere to go when she left the relationship for the second time.
"There's not a lot of help specifically in this area, we could do with a bit more," she said.
Ms Pearce believes youth crime is an issue in the Camden Haven and she would like to see more events and activities in the region targeted towards the young demographic.
Senior Constable Steve Cherry said their main focus for the sessions was crime prevention.
He said it's important people are educated on how best to protect themselves so they don't become victims of crime.
Officers were available to pass on information and resources to the public and answer any questions they might have.
Police also carried out licencing, random breath testing, random drug testing and business inspections.
