A WAUCHOPE man has been charged with drugs, stolen goods and weapons offences after police conducted a search of his home.

About 9.30am on Thursday, August 13, police from the Mid North Coast Proactive Crime Team were patrolling Church Street in Port Macquarie when they saw a 32-year-old male wearing dark clothing allegedly drop a mountain bike and a run behind a bush at the rear of a William Street house.
The man was located by police where a search of his bag allegedly located 90 grams of cannabis, $5200 cash and over 2.5 grams of MDMA (ecstasy), a baseball bat and 30 grams of methylamphetamine.
The man was arrested and conveyed to the Port Macquarie Police Station.
Police then executed a search warrant at his Wauchope home where they located $500 cash, eight grams of cannabis, antique swords and a timber baton.
The accused was charged with 10 offences for drugs, goods in custody and prohibited weapons.
He was refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on August 14.
