Minecraft marathons, karate camps and art workshops are all open for kids to have some school holidays fun in Port Macquarie from July 6 to July 19.

The always popular Minecraft Marathon School Holiday Program is on again hosted by Computer Capers at Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium from 8.30am to 5pm on every day of the school holidays.
Cost is $25 per session of four hours or all day for $40. The sessions are available for current kindergarten to year 10 students.
Computer Capers manager Jacob Gaskill said the marathons have been running since 2008.
"We try to cater for the different needs of kids. There's creative, logic and gaming challenges for kids by tying educational features into the Minecraft platform.
"We're really big on our building challenges, cooperative games and problem solving challenges."
For those writing enthusiasts there will be a Write Tribe workshop at Sunset Framing and gallery from 4pm to 5pm on July 7. Writers and poets can come along to share stories, songs and poetry with BYO afternoon tea.
Kyokushin Karate Port Macquarie Dojo is inviting all children to participate in their winter camp from July 6 to July 8, 9am to 3pm.
Daily activities include learning to use the Japanese drum, learning Japanese, origami, movies and tea ceremony.
Children can book in to learn how to draw their favourite action sports stars at a Sport Art workshop from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, July 8.
The event is hosted by Drawn to Art and teaches participants about drawing the human form. It costs $33 per person.
Other drawing workshops include Iceberg Art on July 6, Sunflower Collage Art on July 14, Sea Life Organisms on July 13 and Beanie Boo Art on July 7.
Drawn To Art artist and art teacher Jane Whitfield said there are many creative and engaging activities on offer this school holidays.
"We do something different each day of the school holidays with 12 different classes and subject matters," Mrs Whitfield said.
"Children can work on their concentration levels and mindfulness through lifelike art. It's art therapy for kids when they have to relax and focus on a set goal.
"It's important for kids to be able to express themselves through visual means. Parents can have a coffee or go for a walk on the beach while kids are in the workshops. In many instances parents can get their artworks framed to have at home aswell.
"School holidays activities used to be quite scarce but now there are many other places kids can go to do creative workshops. We all complement each other as well, which is good."
Creative hands can join the Contemporary Embroidery Class from 10am to noon on July 11, 18 and 25 at Sunset Framing and Gallery.
Booking is $20 per class with water, tea and coffee provided.
Port Macquarie Hastings Library is running a Plastic Free July Tips and Tricks Workshop live online on July 15 from 12 to 1pm via zoom.
Viewers can enjoy a one hour 'show and tell' style workshop with Rhi Simmonds for easy tips on how to refuse single use plastic. Learn how to make their own produce bags and beeswax wraps to keep food fresh.
History buffs can celebrate Bastille Day on July 14 with Port Bus Charters running a tour to Little Fish Cafe from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Tickets are $99, which includes three courses of french cuisine and celebration of French revolution.
