If so, you could be the right fit for the Town Centre Master Plan Sub-committee.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is seeking expressions of interest from people interested in joining the Town Centre Master Plan Sub-committee for a two-year term.
The sub-committee, which was formed in 1994, advises the council on projects and issues which support the continued development of the Port Macquarie town centre using funding from the Town Centre Master Plan Reserve.
It all started with a vision from Port Macquarie CBD property owners to transform the town centre.
That led to a partnership with the council and the Town Centre Master Plan Sub-committee was established.
Town Centre Master Plan Sub-committee chairman Cr Geoff Hawkins said being a sub-committee member was satisfying.
"You work with great people on great projects and you can see something for your efforts," he said.
"It helps bring a smile to people's faces, both the residents and the visitors."
Cr Hawkins said the Town Centre Master Plan Sub-committee was involved with projects which helped bring "feet on the street".
He said the sub-committee had a close and cooperative relationship with the council.
The Town Centre Master Plan Sub-Committee has a strong track record.
The council has worked with the sub-committee to revitalise the CBD with more than $15 million of capital works and refurbishment completed, together with annual operational activities and maintenance.
Projects have included a major face lift of the Port Macquarie Town Green, Town Square construction, intersection, pedestrian and landscaping upgrades, paving and street furniture installation.
People interested in joining the sub-committee should complete the application form on the council's website by Sunday, July 5.
