The NSW government is calling on the community to help develop the first comprehensive long-term housing strategy for the state.
A discussion paper has been released for the public, industry and other stakeholders to have their say on the future of housing in NSW.
The discussion paper includes a proposed vision for housing in NSW, factors influencing housing in NSW and the strategic context in which the housing strategy will be delivered, proposed preliminary directions and discussion questions to target feedback.
The discussion paper will help inform the development of a 20-year whole-of-government housing strategy that addresses everything from homelessness to home ownership.
The NSW government is creating a whole-of-sector strategy that is intended to address housing legislation, policy, and program delivery within a framework to meet the state's housing needs.

Getting your licence is now easier
Drivers now have a simpler, faster and more COVID-safe way of moving from one licence level to the next. Drivers and riders who want to progress from P1 to P2 and then on to an unrestricted licence can now do so online.
Each year more than 265,000 customers will now no longer need to go to a Service NSW Centre to renew or progress their licence.
Customers will still get a letter about six weeks before the due date, reminding them their licence is due to be renewed or progressed and will provide advice around the new online option.
The online option would take the hassle out of having to visit a Service NSW Centre.
Eligible drivers can now renew their licence in the comfort of their home. Customers renewing online should also print out the interim certificate and carry it while driving if they aren't using a digital licence.
