The Mid North Coast Library App is a one-stop-shop for accessing library services remotely, and is a great way of continuing to enjoy the great range of services our region's libraries offer in a contactless, self-serve way.
"We've adapted the way work to ensure we can continue to offer library services during the current pandemic, and are excited to be one of the first library networks in the world to offer contactless self-service borrowing through an App," Port Macquarie Library Manager, Jim Maguire said.
"Library members will now be able to easily borrow resources simply by tapping the item with their own personal smartphone (similar to using tap and go) without the need to go to the desk or by using a library self-check."
The free App can be easily downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
The App allows users to explore the Mid North Coast Library catalogue, and discover the broad range of eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks, newspapers, music, local history content, library news, events, social media postings and more.
Once downloaded, members simply log in to their account, or other linked accounts (such as their children's or carer accounts) and are able to see and make changes to their loans and reservations.
"There are always new and exciting things happening in our libraries, so make sure you download the App or visit the website mnclibrary.org.au to stay up to date," Mr Maguire said.
All Port Macquarie-Hastings libraries have re-opened for business.
Download the new Mid North Coast Library App free at the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
