The regional gallery and theatre will remain closed, but for visitors converging on the region this weekend, the information centre and gift shop are back in business.
Pam Milne, Glasshouse venue manager, could not be more pleased and said it was important the visitor information centre was operational now intra-state travel restrictions have eased.
"We are ready for the long weekend. The visitor information centre supports over 200 tourist operators in the region," Ms Milne said.
"With the state government allowing travel within the state, we are now ready to go."
Last June long weekend, the centre welcomed more than 1000 visitors.
There will continue to be restrictions in place for anyone visiting the Glasshouse.
"We are hoping this is the start of a staged approach. The next stage will be the opening of the regional gallery which will be around June 30.
"We've got a new touring exhibition coming from the Australian Design Centre so we have to fall in with their schedule. That will be exhibited on the ground floor of the gallery."
The 2021 season calendar is also open for bookings with many shows forced to cancel this year, already rescheduling.
The theatre will remain closed until further Public Health Order advice is provided however 2021 will be a big year for theatre-lovers.
Among the big acts heading our way are Bluey's Big Play, Ian Moss 30th Anniversary Tour, My Life: The Story and Songs of Billy Joel and a list of great community events including the popular Luminosity Youth Summit.
All Glasshouse members will have their membership program subscription extended into 2021.
