THERE was after school mayhem in wet conditions on John Oxley Drive this afternoon (May 26) after an diesel spill created hazardous conditions for motorists.

Two units from Fire and Rescue NSW Port Macquarie station were called to the roundabout at Innes Lake Coles at school pick-up hour.
They were supported by the HAZMAT unit and NSW Police.
Station officer Dawn Maynard said the spill was 200 metres long and three metres wide and extended from the Coles roundabout through to the Wright's Road roundabout at the hospital.
There was a second spill 50 metres in length in the Coles car park.
Fire crews neutralised the spill with a biodegradable absorbent.
Port Macquarie-bound traffic was affected with motorists diverted back to the Sovereign Hills roundabout in order to turn around and head back into town.
