The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the Oxley Highway after reports of a single vehicle rollover on Monday afternoon (May 25).
Emergency services reported a 24-year-old woman had sustained serious injuries and three young children were also occupants of the vehicle.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived on scene and treated the driver.
Two children were suffering shock and minor cuts and abrasions. They were taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital. The third child was also airlifted, the driver's sister said.
The woman was treated for chest and back injuries and was stabilised by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team prior to being flown direct to the John Hunter Hospital, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter spokesperson said.
