The Last Post and Reveille are signature tunes for many people attending the traditional services.
With the 2020 Anzac Day services cancelled, many are looking at ways to recognise and honour those service men and women who served their country.
From holding a minutes's silence or a candle vigil at 6am, the latest push could see musicians joining forces to play The Last Post.
Anzac Day bugler, music teacher and musical director and vice president of Port Macquarie-Hastings Municipal Band Amy Corrigan is behind the latest idea.
Ms Corrigan plays each dawn and morning service in Port Macquarie.
"Because Anzac Day services have been cancelled, there has been a bit of a online movement that has been picked up around the country," she said.
"The plan would see musicians playing The Last Post on their driveways at 6am. There are other thoughts around duplicating it at 10am too.
"My own neighbourhood are super happy with the whole idea.
"Everyone is very encouraging of community and doing what we can do make as much as possible "normal"."
The musical director described Anzac Day as "such an important part of our lives".
We wouldn't be here if not for those in our armed services who protected us, she said.
"I think Anzac Day just brings community together," she added.
Ms Corrigan said there already several websites where musicians can log onto and sign up.
They include music for mateship while James Morrison is also promoting the event on a social medial platform.
It is likely that online Zoom classes will be made available for musicians wanting to learn the music.
"If we can practice social distancing but still take a moment to appreciate and remember those who have served our country I think this is worth it," Ms Corrigan said.
"While we may be apart we can still be united."
To get involved send an email to Amy Corrigan at vicepresident@pmhmb.com.au to register your interest for the free Zoom workshop on "Playing the Last Post and Reveille (Rouse)" to be held on Saturday April 18 at 10am.
