Police have been told the 57-year-old man had left on the ATV to herd livestock on a property on Littles Loop Road, Upper Rollands Plains, when his ATV rolled about 6.15am on April 8.
A short time later, the man's wife attended the paddock and located him pinned underneath the vehicle.
Emergency services were called to the property but the man died at the scene.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
