THE dream of playing on the PGA tour remains high on the list for Tom Biron despite the COVID-19 pandemic that has enveloped the world.

Biron is currently in the middle of a three-year traineeship that he hopes will eventually lead to him teeing off at venues such as St Andrews, Augusta and Royal Melbourne.
While golf was off and then on again last week, Biron is uncertain whether he will return to the course to maintain his form or utilise a personal driving net in the garage.
"We only really closed the course for two days, so if we got locked down totally I could think of something to do at home," he said.
"I've got a driving net in the garage I can set up if I have to."
Part of the traineeship requires players to complete up to 20 rounds a year and Biron has so far only completed five.
"If we don't get back on until July, it will make it hard to play enough rounds in time by the end of the year," he said.
"It's stopped all my tournaments; everything has been postponed until early June and then a lot of the big tournaments have been postponed until later in the year."
Luckily, the assessment side of things stays the same online, but the Port Macquarie product admits he is more likely to practice than take advantage of the open courses and play.
"It's a good time to work on a few things in practice rather than playing," he said.
With the state government backflipping on their ban on the sport, Biron said it was easy to abide by social distancing rules out on the course.
"You never really get in each other's way because a golf course is a big area," he said.
