Online resources including e-books have become increasingly popular since Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton libraries closed on March 24 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Library manager Jim Maguire said he would expect the online demand to really increase over the next few weeks.
The library service continues to innovate.
Children watched the library's popular storytime via Facebook live stream with children's librarian Penny Evans for the first time on Tuesday, March 24.
"We got lots of positive comments and people were really grateful," Mr Maguire said.
The library plans to live stream storytime again at 10.30am on Tuesday, March 31.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Library Service's online resources range from e-books to music, movies and e-magazines.
To get started on your online library resource discovery, head to the library's website.
Library members can access free e-books with about 10,000 titles to choose from using an app called Libby.
People can also enjoy a collection of e-books and e-audio books from independent publishers, self-published authors and Australian writers through Indyreads.
Then there is the National Emergency Library initiative with a collection of books to support emergency remote teaching, research activities, independent scholarship and intellectual stimulation.
If e-audiobooks and e-magazines are more your style, the library has online collections of those too.
Music lovers aren't forgotten either with access to millions of songs ranging from the work of top artists to a retrospective collection and music from around the world.
Just log in with your library membership number and you can download five songs a week.
There are movies to watch using a video streaming platform for libraries called Kanopy, while you can keep the kids entertained through Storybox Library with a range of storytellers sharing past and present book titles.
Anyone with questions about how to use the library's online resources should email portlib@mnclibrary.org.au or phone Port Macquarie Library on 6581 8755.
The library remains closed to the public until further notice.
