Rebecca Stockwell launched the campaign after hearing just how busy our doctors and nurses are on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic.

The donations will provide snacks for health care workers at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

Donations already received include tea, coffee, biscuits, energy bars and fruit.

Kenny Little's Quality Fruit and Vegetables donated fruit for the emergency department tea room and the Port Macquarie Base Hospital COVID-19 testing clinic staff, and Peak Coffee donated 300 coffee pods.

"There are beautiful, kind people out there that have been donating and dropping off and I thank them a lot for that," Miss Stockwell said.

The donations will be handed over on Saturday, March 28 and Saturday, April 4.

"Everyone is going through a really unsettling time but it doesn't take much to be kind," Miss Stockwell said.

"Even if it's just one packet of lollies or if it's one bottle of water, it's something that will make the nurses and doctors think someone does care.

"We are a community and we can still support each other."

Donations including energy drinks, bottles of water, fresh fruit, mints, lollies, small bags of chips, Cup A Soup and two-minute noodles can be left at Seasalt Cafe before 1pm daily.

Miss Stockwell said she thanked Seasalt Cafe for its support in this trying time, showing community spirit was not lost.
