Sailors in the eighth handicap start race faced choppy conditions with an ENE wind pushing against a strong outgoing tide.
Despite the conditions there was a good showing of sailors.
Good tactical racing saw sailors trying to stay out of the tide on the shallow side of the river for the return leg of the three point race while trying to judge the depth of water which was still murky from the fresh flows.
The catamaran race was won by Rob Barwick on Drift followed in by Tony Kuhn on Stella and Dave Winter on Spica. Frank O'Rourke on Dino did not finish.
The monohulls was won by Simon & Elsa Gandy in Voyager by two and a half minutes.
Kelly Miller in Dovocean was second followed by Jeff Walsh in Firefly, Warren Sykes in Limited Edition, Stuart Symons & Chris Rajcany in Elmo, Martina Holt in Spellbound followed lastly by Jane Cooper in Impetuous who stopped for a number of swims.
Unfortunately, due the the COVID-19 virus our racing schedule, meetings and use of the club house etc have been cancelled until further notice.
