Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's draft 2020-2021 operational plan is among a suite of documents proposed to be placed on public exhibition.
A report to go before the council's March 18 meeting said the draft operational plan contains a $64.72 million capital works program.
Major capital works in the draft plan include $650,000 to the Stormwater Renewal Program, $4.2 million to finalise the Small Towns Sewerage Scheme construction at Long Flat, Comboyne and Telegraph Point and $500,000 towards footpath, cycleway and pedestrian works.
There is a $1 million allocation for the Local Roads Proactive Renewal Program, while the road resurfacing and rehabilitation work throughout the area gets a $3.3 million injection under the draft plan.
That is a taste of the proposed projects.
Works are planned across Port Macquarie, Laurieton and the Camden Haven, and Wauchope, the rural area and surrounds.
Meanwhile, round two of the event sponsorship program will go before the council meeting.
The council proposes to award a total of $20,000 towards six events.
Applicants are required to demonstrate the proposed event is either a driver of significant overnight visitation or has the potential to grow to major event status with a significant economic impact.
Other items on the meeting agenda include a proposed poll on fluoridation of the council's water supply and the proposed postponement of a visit to Handa in Japan.
The council meeting begins at 5.30pm on Wednesday, March 18 at the Wauchope Showground Hall.
