More than 70 men from all walks of life have spent the last few weeks fundraising and together, donated over $20,000 to Liberty Family and Domestic Violence Specialist Service in Port Macquarie as part of Him in Heels 2020.
Hastings Secondary College executive principal, Ian Ross said men taking part in the event was important ahead of International Women's Day.
"Domestic violence is an issue that impacts the community and it is important as educators that we show that it is never okay," Mr Ross said.
"This is my first time in the event so we will see how we go but it is great to see how many men and supporters have come out to take this stand."
Advocacy and prevention manager at Liberty Family and Domestic Violence Specialist Service Ulla Inki-Gilabert said it was a wonderful event to be part of.
"It is wonderful to see men getting involved and raising funds for our crisis accommodation by publicly standing up and saying domestic violence is never okay," Ms Inki-Gilabert said.
The highest fundraising team was Morgans Financial Team and Mike Mears was awards the 'Best Heels' award for his rhinestone boots.
On the day, Hastings Business Women's Network president Kelly King said organisers never imagined how far the event could come in just three years.
"Who would have thought three years ago that all of this could be possible? This event is a great way to include men into the conversation about standing up against domestic violence," Mrs King said.
"On average one woman a week is killed by a partner or former partner and this is why we are gathering together today."
Mrs King also said the event is held in the lead up to International Women's Day on March 8.
2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the Hastings Business Women's Network collaborating with Port Macquarie MP for local celebrations.
Official International Women's Day celebrations will take place in Port Macquarie on Sunday, March 8.
