The 2020 event will be held in June at Port Macquarie Sails, supported by the Rydges Group.
Eleven excited stars who are set to shine on the dance floor were introduced to the sponsors and supporters by MC Vanessa Lawrence on Sunday, February 23.
The stars will have up to 12 weeks to turn two left feet into a sizzling dance number with the help of Hastings dance teachers.
This year's competitors are Amanda Perrin-Sumner, event co-ordinator at Rydges Port Macquarie; Brendan McDonald, technical services librarian at Port Macquarie-Hastings Library; Cassie Clark, Seasalt; Cori Aspinall of Port Macquarie Orthodontics; Dr Kristy Kostalas of Port Medical Aesthetics Clinic; Mark Matheson of Modern Edge Physio; Meaghan Cook from Hastings Secondary College; Natasha Swain, hairdresser/TAFE teacher; Tim Farnsworth from Westpac; Hadyn Oriti from Donovan Oates Hannaford and Michael Ferguson from Wauchope Veterinary Clinic.
Tickets for the fundraising event will be on sale on Monday, March 2 from 9am. The Dance for Cancer will be held on June 12 and will include a show-stopping night of dancing, fabulous entertainment, raffles, auctions and loads of hilarity.
All funds raised by the stars and ticket sales on the night will go towards the important work of the Cancer Council and its vision of a cancer-free future. It is an opportunity for Hastings residents to help reduce the impact of cancer on individuals and the community.
In the lead-up to the event, the 11 stars will be feverishly fundraising.
