Hosted by North Brother Crossfit, organiser Steve McCarthy said it was a great opportunity for the crossfit community to support the ongoing fire effort and have a good time doing something they loved.
"The competition was a lot of fun and together we raised $6000 for the Rural Fire Service at Lake Cathie," Mr McCarthy said.
"We are really proud of how much money we were able to raise and it is thanks to our generous community for supporting us."
The competition pitted athletes against each other completing a range of different activities and exercises including burpees, working out on the rowing machine and partner races.
"In the end I think we had just as many spectators as we did competitors which meant there was lots of cheering going on which really boosted the whole day," he said.
