Bonsai Group president John Cavendish said members were looking forward to the event.
He said Port Macquarie-Hastings Council had asked the group several years ago to mount a bonsai display at the Glasshouse during one of the reciprocal visits by Handa city representatives.
The group boasts membership of around 40 with 20 members regularly attending the monthly meetings.
He described Bonsai "as like a hobby" for members.
We only have an exhibition every two years and this show will act as an introduction to bonsai as well.
- John Cavendish
"We only have an exhibition every two years and this show will act as an introduction to bonsai as well," he said.
"We have some members who will be able to show newcomers how to get involved and what's required in growing bonsai.
"These members - and other members on the floor of the exhibition - also welcome questions from people during the three day show."
Mr Cavdendish, who has spent almost 40 years growing and talking about bonsai - regularly talks to garden clubs and community groups on the benefits of bonsai.
He also hosts visits to his view his extensive display.
The three day exhibition is on Friday and Saturday February 21 and 22 from 9.30am until 5pm and Sunday February 23 from 9.30am until 3pm.
Cost is $4 adults, while pensioners and students at $2. Children accompanied by an adult can visit the exhibition for free.
