He won Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Most Popular Independent Instrumentalist in the Independent Country Music Australia at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
"It was hot, and the five days I was there I had a lot on, and the atmosphere was great in Tamworth," he said.
Anthony wants to do some local shows around the Hastings this year, and he's delighted to have won more awards.
"It's great to know that people enjoy what you do, and what better way than to be given awards," he said.
The secret to his success is a lot of perseverance and commitment.
"The more you want it, the further you're going to get. It is a hard business to get into, but it's worth it," added Anthony.
He feels he has really found his niche in the music world, playing Australian bush ballads.
Anthony won a scholarship to the Tamworth Music Academy last year, just before he played 20 gigs at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. There, he released his new CD, a duet with Lindsay Butler called 'Boomerang Guitars'.
"It's really important to get yourself out there and make yourself known," he said.
"Things are happening fast now. It's great to get out and see the country and meet other musicians. The academy was a great learning experience. Big stars tell you what you need to know about the music industry, how to present and market yourself."
Anthony won the walk-up section at the Clarence Valley Muster in 2017 and since, then there's been no stopping him.
He was a finalist at the Gold Medallion Media Awards musician of the year in 2017 and 2018 and won the GMMA Collaboration of the Year in 2017 with Lindsay Butler.
He then won 2017 Instrumental of the Year with 'Things Are Not The Same On The Land.'
At the Bungendore Country Music Muster last year, he won the Stan Coster Memorial Award for the second year in a row, the Barry Thorton Achievement Award and was a finalist in the Song Writer of the Year for 'Huntah's Melody'.
