The 40-over fixtures involving Mid North Coast, New England, Hunter, Central Coast, Southern Highlands, Monaro and Port Jackson and Western were split into two separate 20-over innings' a side.
Each side batted for 20 overs and then returned for their second lot of 20 overs.
At Andrews Park in Wauchope, Hunter scored a competitive 9-177 with Ian Hodge (42) leading the way alongside Bill Schafer (28 not out).
In reply, Mid North Coast were cruising at 3-131 in the 31st over when wet weather stopped play.
They were then awarded the victory under the Duckworth-Lewis system.
Action continues today from 9.30am with finals set down for Wednesday.
