A police investigation is underway after a Port Macquarie restaurant was broken into on Monday, January 20 at about 4am.

Senior Constable Steve Cherry from the Mid North Coast Police District said the incident happened at the Hidden Gem restaurant.
The owner of the restaurant said the suspect/s allegedly stole alcohol and money from the premises.
Police are examining CCTV footage as part of the ongoing investigation.
The restaurant owner said the premises was forced to close for lunch on the day of the break-in.
Senior Constable Cherry is urging business owners to ensure their properties are secure.
