A 21-year-old Port Macquarie man remains behind bars following his appearance in the Port Macquarie Local Court.

The man, who cannot be identified, fronted the court to face charges of allegedly having sexual intercourse with a child and alleged child exploitation charges.
The man is charged with three counts of having sexual intercourse with a child under 14 years. Those charges related to offences that allegedly occurred on February 22, 2019.
The charge of using a carriage service to publish child pornography allegedly occurred on July 2, 2019 while a charge of possession of child abuse material relates to incidents that allegedly took place on July 19, 2019.
He appeared before Magistrate Georgina Darcy.
Bail was not applied for and was refused. No pleas have been entered.
The case was adjourned to the Port Macquarie Local Court on February 6, 2020.
