The March 8 garden party at Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges be the 10th International Women's Day event hosted by the Hastings Business Women's Network, Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams and the International Women's Day Committee.
Mrs Williams said the event would reflect on past global event themes such as #pressforparity, #neveralone and #balanceforbetter and would honour the 10 years of Hastings Heroines award winners.
"We will be celebrating all those who have been recognised for their efforts in striving for gender equality, supporting women and inspiring young girls," Mrs Williams said.
She said the community's support of the International Women's Day event had grown every year.
International Women's Day falls on a Sunday, so it presented a perfect opportunity to do something a little bit different this year.
The garden party with cocktails, canapes and live music is the result.
Hastings Business Women's Network president Kelly King said the afternoon event was about celebrating women.
Mrs King said a very special 10-year anniversary celebration event was planned with a Sunday afternoon garden party on March 8 at Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges from 3pm to 6pm.
"Everyone is invited to join us for an afternoon of cocktails, canapes and live music as we look back on a decade of celebrating local women," Mrs King said.
"This event is not just for women.
"We strongly encourage men to come along, as we all have a part to play in ensuring equality in our community."
Event tickets are on sale at the Hastings Women's Business Network website.
The annual International Women's Day events have so far raised more than $84,000 for the women and children's crisis accommodation, run by Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services.
Funds have contributed towards renovations of the bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, children's play spaces, landscaping and outdoor areas at Galbaan House to make the space more welcoming for women and children leaving domestic violence situations and at risk of homelessness.
