There had been some community concern the popular petrol station was closing.
But the Port News understands that is not the case.
The tyre part of the business is still open but they are renovating the petrol station.
The renovations will take two weeks and include an upgrade to pumps, an addition of premium unleaded 95, and a new after-hours terminal.
The business expects the renovations to be complete by January 29 although that is dependent on the weather.
