The children made collages during the morning workshop on Wednesday, January 8 inspired by the Olsen & Ormandy exhibition based around colour, shape and form.
Art educator Lucy Pascale said most of all, the children had fun learning through visual arts.
Eight-year-old Amelia Bam said she enjoyed being creative.
"You get to make your own stuff," she said about the workshop.
Ms Pascale said the arts sessions allowed kids to learn and expand their creativity and talents through creative arts processes.
Exhibitions at the Glasshouse Regional Gallery inspire the art activities.
"What is really rewarding for me is watching them transform a variety of materials into a work of art," Ms Pascale said.
