A man will appear in Port Macquarie Local Court today (January 3) charged over the alleged sexual abuse of two girls and a woman.

In October 2019, detectives from the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports a young girl was sexually assaulted by a man known to her.
During the course of the investigation, officers received reports a further girl and woman had been sexually assaulted by the man, who was also known to them.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 34-year-old man at Kempsey about 12.45pm on January 2.
He was taken to Kempsey Police Station and charged with sexual intercourse with person under age of 10 years (DV), aggravated sex assault- victim under the age of 16 years, have sexual intercourse with person between 14 and 16 years, aggravated sex assault- threat to inflict actual bodily harm with weapon, sexual intercourse without consent (x3).
Police will allege in court that the man sexually assaulted two girls and a woman between 2006 and 2015.
He was refused bail. Investigations are continuing.
