After losing the toss and being sent in to bat first, the Magpies mustered a staunch buffer of 122 runs off eight wickets during the 20 overs.
There was excitement early with the first ball of the day slashed to the boundary for a four and batsman Sean Minns providing a half-century (50 runs) as the highest score of the afternoon.
Luke Boxhill and Gordon Scott contributed 23 and 16 runs at the crease for the Magpies. Boxhill snapping two sixes over the boundary.
Batsman Brendan Badenoch was run out for the teams last wicket with a direct hit from Matthew Collier on the final ball of the last over.
United bowler Murray McCartney took one wicket, Daniel Stone collected two, Josh Hyde sniped one and Ricky Campbell took two wickets on the pitch.
United batsmen made a strong impression early as Tom Burley and Matthew Collier had the run of pitch. They produced 32 and 25 runs respectively including a six for Burley.
Nathan Ballard contributed 16 runs before he was bowled by Adam Broderick. Adam would complete the game with two wickets, Peter Kew delivered two and Luke Boxhall took three.
United fell just shy of the target with 107 runs off eight wickets in their 20 overs.
In the other Port Macquarie match of the day, Wingham claimed a first innings victory over the Port Macquarie Pirates at Wayne Richards Park.
Wingham won the toss and took no prisoners, making 141 runs off their 20 overs. The Pirates mustered a competitive 10 wickets for 125 runs in reply.
