The fire alert level was downgraded to advice at 7pm on Friday, December 20, after a Watch and Act alert was issued initially at 4pm.
Earlier the fire broke containment lines near Creek Trail.
A helicopter assisted in the fire effort by water bombing the area, in addition to fire crews on the ground.
NSW RFS district officer Stuart Robb said there was a lot of smoke in the location, due to the fire.
According to the NSW RFS, the 3641 hectare fire is under control, as of 7.25pm.
People are advised to continue to monitor the situation and follow their Bush Fire Survival Plan.
