An 18-year-old has been charged by police after he allegedly printed and sold over 50 fake wristbands at a Port Macquarie music festival.

Mid North Coast Police District officers carried out an operation at the Festival of the Sun (FOTSUN) event in Port Macquarie from Thursday, December 12 until Saturday, December 14.
Officers were assisted by General Duties, Target Action Group officers, NSW Police Dog Unit, Licensing and Bike Police.
While policing the event, officers detected three persons with fake wristbands in the vicinity of the festival precinct.
On Friday, December 20 police attended a home on Ballina Crescent, Port Macquarie. They spoke with an 18-year-old man.
The man was issued a future court attendance notice for the offences of forgery and deal with the proceeds of crime.
Police will allege the 18-year-old printed over 50 fraudulent wristbands and sold them to festival goers.
The 18-year-old is due to face Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday. February 19, 2020.
Two 17-year-old teenage boys will also be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act, for allegedly selling fake wristbands in unrelated matters.
Police are continuing to investigate the sale and use of forged wristbands at the Festival of the Sun music festival.
