Phoenix started the match in good fashion, hitting five runs in each of their first two innings to set the game up.
Warriors tried to stick with the hard-hitting Phoenix side, but ultimately were unable to maintain their form for a long period.
They were gallant in defeat on the way to a 16-8 loss with Stephanie Matheson, Jenny Clark and Naomi Boyd performing well for Phoenix.
Bec Elford and Kylie Winterton shared the catching position and even with the result of the game it was enjoyed by both teams.
The other match on the day was played between Lakers and Enduro.
Lakers showed their strength was in their betting, setting up a comfortable win.
They had big hits and good base running which proved too much for Enduro to cope with.
The round was the final round before the Christmas break with the action set to return in January.
