Port Macquarie's Tiger Stone along with a number of international skiers from England, New Zealand and France will also compete.
Stone hasn't been in action since the national championships in April after the original season-opening event at Telegraph Point was cancelled last month due to the bushfire crisis.
"I was getting excited because there was a tournament and I'd been training up to it," Stone said.
"But it was probably good it was cancelled because I also needed more time to train because I want to break a NSW record.
"There's already been a record set and the under-12s is a new group because it was under-10s and under-14s but now it's under-12s.
"The record was only set last year so it's not like it's been standing for a while."
The national junior champion admits he is more comfortable in trick, but he's going to "give it a crack" in slalom this weekend.
Other commitments mean he will only take his place in one of the four rounds.
"I'm happy with my training, I've been training most days."
Tournament director Wil Lhommelet said more than 30 skiers would be in action for the ranking event.
"We will have Joel Poland who is the world champion in under-21 and we have Sade Ferguson, national champion Molly Ferguson and national over-55 record setter Barry Mason."
He felt with the right conditions some impressive scores could be achieved throughout the event.
"Normally the weather is very nice and the lake is perfect for a very big score."
There were a number of key factors that were important to make it achievable for skiers to attempt to set new records.
"The driver, the boat, the lake and the weather are all keys to big scores; if there is no wind it will be perfect," Lhommelet said.
The first run starts at 9am on both Saturday and Sunday.
