The performance will feature festive advent music on Sunday, December 8 from 2pm at the Kendall School of Arts.
Australian trumpeter Andrew Evans will lead a brass quintet from the Sydney Conservatorium.
After a year of change, the Kendall National Violin Competition is looking forward to welcoming musical colleagues to perform.
Goetz Richter, artistic director of the Kendall National Violin Competition, said Christmas is a time to celebrate community and replenish inspiration.
"Music is simply perfect for this," he said.
Joining the occasion will be horn player Pei Yin Xu. Pei last visited Kendall in 2017 as a member of a much acclaimed horn quartet.
Pei is delighted to visit Kendall again, and perform at a special and difficult time because of the bush fires.
Mr Richter said music is a gift in times of celebration and hardship.
"I hope many people in the Kendall, Hastings and the North Haven community will come, relax and listen to be inspired," he said.
The concert is part of the Kendall PhiloMusica series, which combines topics of philosophy and the performance of music.
The afternoon performance will be introduced by philosopher and musician Goetz Richter, with a pre-concert talk from 1pm. Ticket holders may attend for free.
