When it comes to action in the bedroom, we're not terrible at it - we just aren't doing it.
According to the latest data revealed on the ABC Australia Talks program, Port Macquarie straddles two of the most sexless electorates in the country.
A spokesperson from the ABC said across the national survey, weightings were applied to sex, age, education, language, geography and past vote across the sample, to ensure it was representative.
The survey revealed across Australia 48 per cent of people in the age bracket of 75-years-old and over aren't having sex. It's worth noting that both the Lyne and Cowper electorates have a proportionally higher aged demographic - but that's no excuse!
And contrary to popular belief, it was revealed 40 per cent of 18-24 year-olds also aren't having sex. And most of that non-action is happening right here in Port Macquarie.
So why aren't we having sex?
Bronwyn Flemming is 44-years-old and admits the man-sex-drought is real.
She's the coordinator of the Port Macquarie Social Group For Singles.
Bronwyn returned back to the single scene at 37. She said she found it hard to pick up her confidence after her marriage ended.
The Port Macquarie Social Group For Singles has about 20 active members and is predominantly made up of women.
Bronwyn said people can be hesitant to meet new people after they go through a separation, but the group is very welcoming to all.
Rae is a member of the group. At 61, she's looking for a real social connection with someone.
"If you find the right person, the feelings are there and everything flows on," she said.
"Takes a bit of love, care, respect and understanding to get the walls down."
The women, like a lot of their members, don't want what online dating sites and apps are offering.
"We're looking for companionship, " Bronwyn said.
"We don't miss the sex so much but we miss the cuddles and snuggles in bed after it."
The women, who are both now single, said they are nervous about exploring new sexual relationships after being with long-term partners.
Rae said she's not an 18-year-old anymore and doesn't feel comfortable getting naked in front of someone.
Bronwyn said she focuses on other things and does not dwell on the lack of intimacy.
"You don't miss what you don't have," she said.
"The feelings switch off after a while."
Jeff Craven, 58, is also a member of the Port Macquarie Social Group For Singles. The 'drought' is just as real for men on the single scene he said.
Jeff was married and divorced to the same woman, twice.
He's been single for three years but said he's happy being by himself and is not in a rush to be in a relationship with anyone.
Jeff wants more men to join the social group for single people.
He said the lack of men might be attributed to a sense of "disenchantment with singles groups".
"However we're a social group not a singles group," he said.
Eighteen-year-olds Kate and Rebecca visited Town Beach on Monday (November 25).
Kate said she hasn't had sex and won't go online to seek it out.
"I feel like there's plenty of time," she said.
Rebecca said dating apps like Tinder have got a negative reputation for being creepy.
Bronwyn and Rae are calling for more social events in Port Macquarie for single people.
"Back in the old days there were dances in halls where people could meet," she said.
"Valentine's Day seems to be the only time single people are thought about."
The Port Macquarie Social Group For Singles is open to people over the age of 30. The group hosts a number of outings throughout the year.
