Ten year ago Tully appeared in the Port Macquarie News with a passionate message for world leaders in Copenhagen.
She joined the then Greens MP John Kaye as guest speaker, at the Walk Against Warming in Port Macquarie.
In 2009 Tully told the Port News people can either be part of the problem, or part of the solution.
"We want to save the planet," Tully said.
Fast forward 10 years and Tully is still working to make a difference, by educating the young generation on environmental issues.
Tully is a kindergarten teacher in Melbourne. She conducts lessons with the three and four-year-olds on how they can make a difference to the planet's future.
"We talk about how it's important not to waste water or paper," she said.
Tully said the children, in contrast to adults have big responses to the topic of the environment.
As adults, Tully said people have become complacent to the fact the planet is dying.
"We acknowledge it but then we get on with our daily lives," she said.
However Tully said if you tell children the planet is dying, it's really big for them and they get passionate about how they can help save it.
Education on the current situation of climate change, Tully said, is dependent on the educator in the classroom.
She said it's become a really big topic this year, especially with all the fires which have impacted the eastern side of Australia.
"The fires have been a big shock for everyone and a big eye opener," she said.
Tully works next to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, where climate change protests have been held.
"There have been people dressed as bees who have glued themselves to the pavement," she said.
In Melbourne Tully is also pursuing her passion for acting. It's her dream to become the Starlight Foundation's mascot to cheer up sick children in hospital.
