Video of the dancing queen from the Sancrox/Thrumster Rural Fire Brigade has gone viral, notching up over thousands of views on social media.
Brittany said she loves to put a smile on people's faces.
"If that means being a little bit silly and doing some dance moves in my uniform, I'll do it," she said.
Over the past two weeks the Mid North Coast has been impacted by fires and Brittany has helped with the firefighter effort.
Brittany said with all the devastation the fires have caused, entertainment can help make people feel better.
The video was taken at Rollands Plains and children joined in the dance with Brittany.
"That really made made my day, to see their smiles and hear their laughter," she said.
Throughout the fire period, Brittany said the community has been so supportive.
"It's been great driving down the street of Wauchope with people cheering, clapping, waving and standing with signs for us," she said.
Brittany said there have been some scary moments for firefighters, due to the unpredictable conditions on the fire ground.
A crew from the brigade was out mopping up the fires, when a sudden wind change caused a blaze to flare up from centimetres to metres high.
Brittany said the crew managed to get inside their vehicle just in time, as the fire was coming towards them.
"It was the first time I'd experienced a wind direction change," she said.
Brittany said her training skills kicked in and she was able to put into practice everything she had learnt about the situation.
Brittany is mum to her four-year-old daughter and her husband works away in Darwin.
She said it can be hard to juggle her family commitments, with being a volunteer but she's got great support from her mum.
Brittany joined the NSW Rural Fire Service in June, 2009.
She joined in memory of her brother who tragically passed away in a car accident.
Brittany's brother had been an active member of the Bonny Hills Rural Fire Brigade.
There are six women who are part of the Sancrox/Thrumster Rural Fire Brigade.
Brittany said it's fantastic to see more women coming into the brigade.
There are a range of roles available to suit all abilities.
"You definitely are not just thrown on the end of a hose," she said.
