Emergency services were called to a property at Yippin Creek, west of Wauchope at about 8am.
A spokesperson from Westpac Rescue Helicopter said initial reports indicated the four-year-old suffered serious injuries, when a large water tank carrying 1000 litres of water allegedly fell off a vehicle onto her.
The girl was treated by paramedics from NSW Ambulance and transported to Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter spokesperson said the girl was flown to John Hunter Hospital from Port Macquarie Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The girl will undergo further treatment, the spokesperson said, for non life threatening injuries for leg fractures.
