FOTSUN is on December 12, 13 and 14 at Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park.
Coastal Warriors' Meegan Stephens and Amy Robinson say the partnership is "very exciting" which will see the initiative called eCANomy rolled out after a test drive was conducted at the 2018 event.
"We were at last year's festival but in a reduced capacity," Ms Stephens said.
"This year we are working with more lead-in time and there will be better promotion of what we are doing.
"Our plan is to hand out hessian sacks to festival punters who will then fill them with cans - the event is glass-free.
"These bags can then be brought back to our exchange centre or one of our three other stations to exchange for vouchers.
"These vouchers are for food stalls at the festival and local coffee shops, Coastal Warriors and FOTSUN merchandise and other retail outlets."
This is a completely cashless exchange, she said.
Coastal Warriors volunteers will also use the time to raise awareness, educate and reward festival goers who participate in the scheme.
Once collected, the cans are shipped to Coffs Harbour and recycled properly.
Ms Stephens said Coastal Warriors jumped at the chance to partner with the festival.
This is a great way for us to educate and raise awareness for not only marine debris but also responsibility for recycling in that specific (festival-goer) demographic.

"This is a great way for us to educate and raise awareness for not only marine debris but also responsibility for recycling in that specific (festival-goer) demographic.
"The younger generation are more savvy and we should get a good response.
"We also want to change the use-it-once mentality that goes with the festival scene too."
She described it as a change of mindset.
There has been a great response from local business to the initiative.
FOTSUN is also pushing ahead with its dream of eliminating single-use plastics at the festival.
Ms Stephens said volunteers will use the festival to tell their story to festival-goers and explain the impacts of single-use plastics on marine life and littering generally.
"It is simply not sustainable to have single-use plastics," she added.
Coastal Warrios will be at the festival from Friday 3pm until 8pm; Saturday 10.30am until 8.30pm and Sunday morning.
FOTSUN is on December 12, 13 and 14.
