While the Mid North Coast Premier Cricket League has already been cancelled for a second-straight week, HRDCA president Craig Lobegeier said they would "sit and wait" before making their decision.
"We've been to all (local) presidents and asked them; if it's like this (Thursday) then they're all not interested," he said.
"I would say it's unlikely at this stage."
Should the air quality not improve by 5pm tomorrow, then a decision to cancel the round looks the most likely.
"We won't be taking any chances," Lobegeier said.
"Most other sports have already been cancelled this weekend so if we go ahead we will be the only sport to be played."
Meanwhile, Lobegeier will head to Albury next week to umpire in the national over-70 cricket championships.
More than 20 teams will compete including those from New Zealand with every state and territory in Australia to take part excluding the Northern Territory.
