Orange Sky Laundry has teamed up with Burger Urge Port Macquarie to collect new socks and undies for distribution before Christmas.
People can drop off donations of new socks and undies at Burger Urge Port Macquarie in Park Street by December 6.
The donations will be distributed by Orange Sky Laundry in the lead-up to Christmas.
Orange Sky Laundry on the Mid-North Coast provides free laundry and conversations with people experiencing homelessness from Taree to Kempsey.
Orange Sky Australia service manager Alison Neale said something as simple as some new socks or undies made such a difference.
"It's one of the things that if you are really, really doing it tough, you don't spend money on," she said.
The 2018 sock and undie drive was a success.
Mrs Neale encouraged the community to get behind the 2019 donation drive.
"It's simple and it's an easy way for you to give to someone less fortunate and it's something that is really appreciated," she said.
Burger Urge Port Macquarie franchisee Shane Joyce said the donation drive was a great idea.
"We are happy to be part of it and happy to raise awareness," he said.
Mr Joyce said socks and undies were necessities in life and not easy to come by for some.
"It's nice to be involved," he said.
Meanwhile, Burger Urge Port Macquarie, partnering with Orange Sky Laundry, will hold its next breakfast for the homeless before Christmas.
