Some 35 people gathered at the Lake Innes home of Greg and Suzy Anderson for the Melbourne Cup day function in support of Bravehearts Mid North Coast.
The event raised about $2900.
All the money raised stays in the area to support the work of Bravehearts on the Mid North Coast.
Bravehearts is Australia's leading child protection organisation with the mission of preventing child sexual assault.
The three piers to prevention are educate, empower and protect.
The fundraising lunch included fashions on the field, a raffle and small auctions, while the guests enjoyed delicious food prepared by a few of the supporters.
Bravehearts Mid North Coast chairperson Jenny Watts said the function was a really fun day.
Mrs Watts thanked the Andersons for opening their home for the event.
"This is our last fundraiser of the year, and because we spent nearly $20,000 this year educating over 1600 children, we are in need of replenishing that so we can hopefully do the same next year," Mrs Watts said.
Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure Show empowers children with personal safety skills.
"Every child has the right to feel safe and children's safety is everyone's responsibility," Mrs Watts said.
Bravehearts Mid North Coast will take part in the Countdown to Christmas street parade and a golf day at Port Macquarie Golf Day is scheduled in March.
